POSITION TITLE:

Operations Project Manager.

GENERAL SUMMARY:



 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Operations Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing multiple projects related to operational process improvement efforts or system application implementations in the Supply Chain and Logistics area. May also operate as a process analyst to identify and help improve operational performance.

The Operations Project Manager will report directly to the SVP Operations.

 

  • Gather, analyze and evaluate process metrics to clarify business requirements.

  • Help define specific process improvement initiatives and scope out potential projects.

  • Help identify related resource requirements.

  • Develop project proposals, complete with timelines, resource requirements, budgets and defined expectations.

  • Manage bid process for resources where appropriate.

  • Coordinate internal and external resources for approved projects.

  • Manage the projects to completion.

  • Track & report status on a regular basis.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated analytical ability.

  • Detail oriented with polished organizational skills.

  • PC proficient, including MS Office & MS Project; with prior ERP system experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good computer skills.

  • High moral and ethical standards.

  • Ability to successfully delivering strong business results.

  • Improve Operations ability to manage process improvement initiatives.

  • Reduced costs.

  • Improved productivity.

  • Improved service levels.

  • Projects may include:

  • Returns process analysis and improvement

  • SKU Rationalization

  • Product Value Engineering

  • Inventory Planning Module implementation.

  • Warehouse management system implementation.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

  • At least 5+ years experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations.

  • Project management experience with demonstrated application of project management techniques and software tracking tools.

  • APICS certification helpful.

 



COMPENSATION:

An attractive compensation plan including a base salary, a results-oriented incentive bonus and a full benefits plan.
